जातमात्रां च तां दृष्टवा वैदर्भ: पृथिवीपति: । प्रहर्षेण द्विजातिभ्यो न्न्यवेदयत भारत
jātamātrāṃ ca tāṃ dṛṣṭvā vaidarbhaḥ pṛthivīpatiḥ | praharṣeṇa dvijātibhyo nyavedayat bhārata ||
Vừa thấy bé gái ngay sau khi chào đời, vua xứ Vidarbha tràn ngập hoan hỷ. Trong niềm vui ấy, ngài loan báo tin mừng cho các bậc lưỡng sinh (các trưởng lão Bà-la-môn), hỡi Bhārata.

Auspicious family events in a kingdom are traditionally shared with learned and ritual authorities; the verse reflects the ideal of a king acting within established social and religious norms, honoring the role of the dvijas in public and domestic rites.
A Vidarbhan king sees a newborn girl and, overcome with happiness, formally informs the dvijas—signaling a royal household’s customary response to a significant birth and preparing for appropriate rites and counsel.
