Avanti–Narmadā–Puṣkara Tīrtha-Kathana (धौम्यकथितं तीर्थवर्णनम्)
महेन्द्रो नाम कौरव्य भार्गवस्य महात्मन: । अयजत् तत्र कौन्तेय पूर्वमेव पितामह:,“कुरुनन्दन! महात्मा भार्गवका निवासस्थान महेन्द्र-पर्वत है। कुन्तीनन्दन! वहाँ ब्रह्माजीने पूर्वकालमें यज्ञ किया था
mahendro nāma kauravya bhārgavasya mahātmanaḥ | ayajat tatra kaunteya pūrvam eva pitāmahaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Hỡi hậu duệ nhà Kuru, ngọn núi lớn tên Mahendra là nơi cư ngụ của bậc Bhārgava cao cả. Hỡi con của Kuntī, chính tại đó, đấng Pitāmaha (Brahmā) đã cử hành lễ tế từ thời cổ xưa.”
