Vaiśampāyana nói: Thấy các Pāṇḍava luôn canh cánh lo âu, lòng dạ rũ rượi, Dhaumya—điềm tĩnh và minh triết như Bṛhaspati—đã cất lời với họ, đem lời an ủi để trấn định tâm can.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When adversity makes even the righteous despondent, wise counsel rooted in dharma restores steadiness (dhairya) and right judgment; reassurance is presented as an ethical duty of a guide toward those in distress.
Vaiśampāyana describes the Pāṇḍavas as continually anxious and dejected; seeing them, their priest Dhaumya begins to comfort them and prepares to speak, setting up guidance connected with their journey and sacred places.
