युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
ततो गृध्रवर्ट गच्छेत् स्थानं देवस्थ धीमत: । स्नायीत भस्मना तत्र अभिगम्य वृषध्वजम्,तदनन्तर परम बुद्धिमान् महादेवजीके गृधप्रवट नामक स्थानकी यात्रा करे और वहाँ भगवान् शंकरके समीप जाकर भस्मसे स्नान करे (अपने शरीरमें भस्म लगाये)
tato gṛdhravraṭaṁ gacchet sthānaṁ devastha dhīmataḥ | snāyīt bhasmanā tatra abhigamya vṛṣadhvajam ||
Bấy giờ, người ta nên đi đến thánh địa mang tên Gṛdhravraṭa, nơi linh thiêng gắn với vị thần minh triết. Khi đã đến gần Vṛṣadhvaja (Śiva), hãy tắm bằng tro—tức thoa tro thiêng lên thân thể—mà cung kính tiến lễ Mahādeva. Lời dạy ấy đặt cuộc hành hương trong kỷ luật sùng kính: thanh tẩy, khiêm cung và trực tiếp thờ phụng Śiva theo nghi thức đã định.
