युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya

तत्र विष्णु: प्रसादार्थ रुद्रमाराधयत्‌ पुरा । वरांश्व सुबहूँल्‍लेभे दैवतेषु सुदुर्लभान्‌,तदनन्तर त्रिभुवनविख्यात सुवर्णतीर्थकी यात्रा करे। वहाँ पूर्वकालमें भगवान्‌ विष्णुने रुद्रदेवकी प्रसन्नताके लिये उनकी आराधना की और उनसे अनेक देवदुर्लभ उत्तम वर प्राप्त किये

tatra viṣṇuḥ prasādārthaṁ rudram ārādhayat purā | varāṁś ca subahūn lebhe daivateṣu sudurlabhān | tad-anantaraṁ tribhuvana-vikhyāta-suvarṇa-tīrthakī yātrā kare |

Tại đó, thuở xưa, đức Viṣṇu đã phụng thờ Rudra để cầu được ân sủng. Từ Ngài, Viṣṇu nhận được nhiều ân huệ tối thượng—những ân huệ cực khó đạt ngay cả giữa chư thiên. Rồi câu chuyện chuyển sang cuộc hành hương đến Suvarṇa-tīrtha lừng danh trong ba cõi, nêu rõ rằng ngay cả bậc tối thượng cũng tìm cầu ân điển bằng lòng tôn kính và chí thành.
