अड्गुल्यग्रेण राजेन्द्र स्वावड्गुष्ठस्ताडितो 5नघ । ततो भस्म क्षताद् राजन् निर्गतं हिमसंनिभम्,“विप्रवर! मुझे तो यह देखकर कोई आश्चर्य नहीं हो रहा है। मेरी ओर देखिये।' नरश्रेष्ठ! निष्पाप राजेन्द्र! ऐसा कहकर परम बुद्धिमान् महादेवजीने अंगुलीके अग्रभागसे अपने अँगूठेको ठोंका। राजन्! उनके चोट करनेपर उस अँगूठेसे बर्फके समान सफेद भस्म गिरने लगा
aṅgulyagreṇa rājendra svāvaṅguṣṭhas tāḍito 'nagha | tato bhasma kṣatād rājan nirgataṃ himasaṃnibham ||
Ngài nói: “Hỡi Đại vương, bậc vô tội,” rồi bậc Mahādeva trí tuệ siêu việt lấy đầu ngón tay gõ vào chính ngón cái của mình. Bấy giờ, hỡi Đại vương, từ chỗ bị gõ ấy, tro trắng như tuyết bắt đầu rơi xuống.
