ऋतुपर्णस्य विदर्भयात्रा-निश्चयः तथा बाहुकस्य हयपरिक्षा (Ṛtuparṇa’s resolve to go to Vidarbha and Bāhuka’s examination of horses)

तस्या रुदत्या: सततं तेन शोकेन पार्थिव । प्रसादं कुरु वै वीर प्रतिवाक्यं ददस्व च,“वीर भूमिपाल! सदा तुम्हारे शोकसे रोती हुई अपनी उस प्यारी पत्नीपर पुनः कृपा करो और मुझे मेरी बातका उत्तर दो”

Transliteration

tasyā rudatyāḥ satataṃ tena śokena pārthiva | prasādaṃ kuru vai vīra prativākyaṃ dadasva ca ||

Translation

“Tâu đại vương, nàng khóc mãi không thôi, bị nỗi sầu ấy giày vò. Hỡi bậc anh hùng, xin lại ban ân cho nàng, và xin đáp lời điều ta vừa nói.”
