Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dhārmic royal conduct: when confronted with an extraordinary event involving a brāhmaṇa, the king responds not with arrogance or suspicion but with reverence and heightened respect toward Pṛthā, modeling humility, hospitality, and proper regard for sanctity.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that a brāhmaṇa suddenly disappears in the king’s presence. The king, amazed by this miraculous vanishing, becomes filled with wonder and then honors Pṛthā (Kuntī) with special attention and respect.
