त॑ दृष्टवा सहसोत्थाय भर्तुन्यस्य शनै: शिर: । कृताञ्जलिर्वाचार्ता हृदयेन प्रवेपती,उन्हें देखते ही सावित्रीने धीरेसे पतिका मस्तक भूमिपर रख दिया और सहसा खड़ी हो हाथ जोड़कर काँपते हुए हृदयसे वह आर्त वाणीमें बोली
taṁ dṛṣṭvā sahasotthāya bhartur nyasya śanaiḥ śiraḥ | kṛtāñjalir vācārtā hṛdayena pravepatī ||
Thấy người ấy, Sāvitrī lập tức đứng dậy. Nàng nhẹ nhàng đặt đầu chồng xuống, chắp tay cung kính và cất lời trong tiếng nói nghẹn đau, tim run rẩy.
