Sūrya’s Counsel to Karṇa on Indra’s Intended Request
Kuṇḍala–Kavaca Discourse
विषण्णचेता: पप्रच्छ पुनरस्मानरिंदम । क: स राम: कथं सीता जटायुश्न॒ कथं हतः
viṣaṇṇacetāḥ papraccha punar asmān ariṃdama | kaḥ sa rāmaḥ kathaṃ sītā jaṭāyuś ca kathaṃ hataḥ ||
Rồi kẻ hàng phục địch, lòng nặng sầu, lại hỏi chúng ta: “Rāma ấy là ai? Sītā ra sao? Và Jaṭāyu bị giết thế nào?” Câu kệ đặt nỗi đau vào hình hài của sự truy vấn—tìm cho rõ về đức hạnh, mất mát, và những nguyên do dẫn đến cuộc tranh đấu chính nghĩa.
