Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Chỉ riêng Vibhīṣaṇa hiện ra—che lọng trắng, đội khăn trắng, đeo vòng hoa trắng, xức đàn hương trắng—ngự trên một ngọn núi trắng.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse uses the repeated motif of whiteness—parasol, turban, garlands, sandal paste, and even the mountain—to signal purity, auspiciousness, and moral clarity. Vibhīṣaṇa’s solitary appearance underscores steadfast adherence to dharma even when one stands apart from one’s own side.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes a striking vision: Vibhīṣaṇa is seen alone, fully adorned in white and seated upon a white mountain, marked by royal insignia (the parasol) and auspicious ornaments, highlighting his distinct identity and status in the episode being narrated.
