Trong khu rừng mênh mông ấy, Rāma cùng Saumitri (Lakṣmaṇa) thấy từng đàn nai hoảng hốt chạy tán loạn khắp mọi phía.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights situational awareness and prudent conduct: when nature shows signs of disturbance (animals fleeing), one should respond with restraint, readiness, and responsibility rather than impulsiveness.
While moving through a vast forest with Lakṣmaṇa, Rāma notices deer herds running away in all directions, indicating that something alarming—such as a predator, threat, or disturbance—has occurred nearby.
