खर: शूर्पणखा चैव तेषां वै तप्यतां तप: । परिचर्या च रक्षां च चक्रतुर्हष्टमानसौ

Transliteration

kharaḥ śūrpaṇakhā caiva teṣāṃ vai tapyatāṃ tapaḥ | paricaryā ca rakṣāṃ ca cakratur hṛṣṭamānasau ||

Translation

Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Khara và Śūrpaṇakhā, lòng hân hoan, đã nhận việc hầu hạ và che chở cho những người đang tu khổ hạnh; họ nâng đỡ sự tu tập ấy và canh giữ cho họ khi họ giữ giới nguyện.”
