इत्युच्यमान: पार्थेन सैन्धवो न न्यवर्तत । तिष्ठ तिछेति तं भीम: सहसाभ्यद्रवद् बली । मा वधीरिति पार्थस्तं दयावान् प्रत्यभाषत,अर्जुनके इस प्रकार ताने देनेपर भी सिन्धुराज नहीं लौटा, तब महाबली भीम “ठहरो, ठहरो” कहते हुए सहसा उसके पीछे दौड़े। उस समय दयालु अर्जुनने उनसे कहा--“भैया! इसकी जान न मारना”
ity ucyamānaḥ pārthena saindhavo na nyavartata | tiṣṭha tiṣṭheti taṃ bhīmaḥ sahasābhyadravad balī | mā vadhīr iti pārthas taṃ dayāvān pratyabhāṣata |
Dù bị Pārtha (Arjuna) nói như thế, vua xứ Sindhu vẫn không quay lại. Khi ấy, Bhīma dũng mãnh vừa hô “Dừng lại! Dừng lại!” vừa lao vụt đuổi theo. Đúng lúc đó, Arjuna đầy lòng trắc ẩn nói với Bhīma: “Anh—đừng giết hắn.”
