Educational Q&A

The verse highlights a royal ethic: valor and notable deeds are to be recognized in a proper, rule-bound manner (vidhinā), and worthy actions may be publicly affirmed to shape communal memory and standards of conduct.

The narrator reports that a king, delighted, formally honored Karṇa—renowned for battlefield brilliance—and arranged for Karṇa’s deed to be announced aloud, spreading its fame among the people.
