मुद्गलोपाख्यानम् — व्रीहिद्रोणदानं, दुर्वाससः परीक्षा, स्वर्गगुणप्रश्नः

तथा भीमो महेष्वास: संयुगे बलिनां वर: । गन्धर्वा्छितशो राजज्जघान निशितै: शरै:,राजन! इसी प्रकार बलवानोंमें श्रेष्ठ महाधनुर्धर भीमसेनने अपने तीक्ष्ण सायकोंद्वारा सैकड़ों गन्धर्वोको मार गिराया
tathā bhīmo maheṣvāsaḥ saṁyuge balināṁ varaḥ | gandharvān śataśo rājan jaghāna niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Cũng vậy, Bhīma—cánh tay hùng mạnh, bậc đại cung thủ, đứng đầu trong hàng những kẻ cường tráng nơi chiến địa—hỡi Đại vương, đã dùng những mũi tên sắc bén như lưỡi dao mà quật ngã các Gandharva đến hàng trăm.”
