Educational Q&A

The verse underscores the immediate moral and psychological consequence of unchecked violence: terror spreads among opponents when conflict turns into indiscriminate slaughter. It functions as a cautionary depiction of how warfare dehumanizes and destabilizes all sides.

A fierce combat scene is being described: severed heads, arms, and feet are falling in all directions, compared to a shower of stones. This horrific sight causes the enemy side to become frightened.
