Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Yudhiṣṭhiravacaḥ śrutvā Bhīmasenapurogamāḥ | prahṛṣṭavadanāḥ sarve samuttiṣṭhurnararṣabhāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Tâu vua Janamejaya! Nghe lời Yudhiṣṭhira, tất cả các Pāṇḍava—Bhīmasena đi đầu—những bậc trượng phu dũng mãnh như bò mộng, liền đồng loạt đứng dậy, sẵn sàng cho chiến trận. Gương mặt họ rạng ngời niềm vui, cho thấy sự sẵn sàng ấy là đáp lời kỷ luật trước lời chỉ dẫn của bậc huynh trưởng, chứ không phải sự hiếu chiến mù quáng.
