Duryodhana Seized by Citraseṇa; Kaurava Petition to Yudhiṣṭhira (दुर्योधनापहारः / चित्रसेनगन्धर्वग्रहणम्)
|। तेषां प्रशमनं कार्य स्नान धूपमथाञ्जनम् | बलिकर्मोपहाराशक्ष् स्कन्दस्येज्याविशेषत:,स्नान, धूप, अज्जन, बलिकर्म, उपहार अर्पण तथा स्कन्ददेवकी विशेष पूजा करके इन स्कन्दग्रहोंकी शान्ति करनी चाहिये
teṣāṁ praśamanaṁ kāryaṁ snāna-dhūpam athāñjanam | bali-karmopahārāś ca skandasyejyā-viśeṣataḥ ||
Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Để an hòa những lực quấy nhiễu ấy, người ta nên cử hành các nghi thức trấn an—tắm gội theo lễ, dâng hương, bôi thuốc/thuốc mỡ hộ thân; lại kèm lễ bali và các phẩm vật cúng dâng khác. Đặc biệt, hãy làm điều ấy bằng sự thờ phụng chuyên biệt dâng lên Skanda.”
