वयं पुत्र परित्यक्ता भर्तभिददेवसम्मितै: । अकारणाद्‌ रुषा तैस्तु पुण्यस्थानात्‌ परिच्युता:,“बेटा! हमारे देवतुल्य पतियोंने अकारण रुष्ट होकर हमें त्याग दिया है, इसलिये (हम) पुण्यलोकसे च्युत हो गयी हैं

Transliteration

vayaṃ putra parityaktā bhartṛbhir devasammataiḥ | akāraṇād ruṣā tais tu puṇyasthānāt paricyutāḥ ||

Translation

Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Con ơi, các phu quân của chúng ta—những người được tôn kính như bậc thần linh—đã ruồng bỏ chúng ta. Không vì lẽ công bằng nào, họ nổi giận rồi bỏ rơi chúng ta; bởi thế chúng ta đã bị rơi khỏi chốn phúc đức của mình.”
