चित्रसेनगन्धर्वैः कौरवसंनिपातः

भेदिते च त्वयि विभो लोको द्वैधमुपेष्यति । द्विधाभूतेषु लोकेषु निश्चितेष्वावयोस्तथा,तस्मादिन्द्रो भवानेव भविता मा विचारय । प्रभो! यदि तुम फ़ूट जाओगे तो जगतके प्राणी दो भागोंमें बट जायँगे। महाबलवान् वीर! सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके निश्चय ही दो दलोंमें बट जाने तथा लोगोंके द्वारा भेदबुद्धि उत्पन्न किये जानेपर हम लोगोंमें युद्ध प्रारम्भ हो सकता है। तात! उस युद्धमें जैसा कि मेरा विश्वास है, तुम्हीं विजयी होओगे। अतः तुम्हीं इन्द्र हो जाओ। इस विषयमें कोई दूसरी बात मत सोचो
bhidite ca tvayi vibho loko dvaidham upeṣyati | dvidhābhūteṣu lokeṣu niściteṣv āvayos tathā, tasmād indro bhavān eva bhavitā mā vicāraya |
Śakra nói: “Hỡi bậc hùng lực, nếu ngươi bị chia rẽ, thế gian sẽ rơi vào phân đôi. Và khi các cõi chắc chắn tách thành hai phe—theo ngươi và theo ta—xung đột giữa chúng ta có thể bùng lên. Vì vậy, chỉ ngươi hãy làm Indra; đừng do dự thêm nữa.”
