आरण्यकपर्वणि अध्यायः २१६ — इन्द्र-स्कन्द-संमुखता वज्रप्रहारश्च

राजा ययातिर्दाहित्रै: पतितस्तारितो यथा । सद्धिः पुरुषशार्दूल तथाहं भवता द्विज:,राजा ययाति स्वर्गसे गिर गये थे; परंतु उनके उत्तम स्वभाववाले दौतह्ित्रों (पुत्रीके पुत्रों)- ने पुनः उनका उद्धार कर दिया--वे पूर्ववत्‌ स्वर्गलोकमें प्रतिष्ठित हो गये। पुरुषसिंह! इसी प्रकार आपने भी आज मुझ ब्राह्मणको नरकमें गिरनेसे बचाया है

rājā yayātir dauhitraiḥ patitas tārīto yathā | saddhiḥ puruṣaśārdūla tathāhaṃ bhavatā dvijaḥ ||

Như vua Yayāti, khi rơi khỏi cõi trời, đã được các cháu ngoại—những con trai của con gái ông—vốn có đức hạnh, cứu vớt và lại được an lập nơi thiên giới như trước; hỡi mãnh hổ giữa loài người, cũng vậy, hôm nay ngài—bậc lưỡng sinh—đã cứu ta khỏi sa xuống địa ngục.
