Prelude to the Birth of Kārttikeya/Skanda
सात्त्विकस्त्वथ सम्बुद्धो लोकवृत्तेन क्लिश्यते । यदा बुध्यति बोद्धव्यं लोकवृत्तं जुगुप्सते,सात््विक पुरुष ज्ञानसम्पन्न हो रजोगुण और तमोगुणके कार्यभूत लौकिक व्यवहारमें पड़नेका कष्ट नहीं उठाता। वह जब जाननेयोग्य तत्त्वको जान लेता है, तब उसे सांसारिक व्यवहारसे ग्लानि हो जाती है
sāttvikas tv atha sambuddho lokavṛttena kliśyate | yadā budhyati boddhavyaṃ lokavṛttaṃ jugupsate ||
Người thợ săn nói: “Người an trú trong sattva, một khi đã tỉnh giác trọn vẹn, sẽ không còn bị lối sống thế gian làm khổ nữa. Khi đã biết chân lý đáng biết, người ấy sinh tâm chán ngán đối với nếp hành xử của đời.”
