] | (((2: ६ नारदस्त्वथ देवर्षिज्ञात्वा तांस्तु कृतक्षणान्‌ । मार्कण्डेयस्य वदतस्तां कथामन्वमोदत,तब देवर्षि नारदने उन सबको कथा सुननेके लिये अवसर निकालकर तैयार हुआ जान वक्ता मार्कण्डेय मुनिकी उस कथा सुननेके विचारका अनुमोदन किया

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | nāradas tv atha devarṣiḥ jñātvā tāṁs tu kṛtakṣaṇān | mārkaṇḍeyasya vadataḥ tāṁ kathām anvamodata ||

Vaiśampāyana nói: Bấy giờ, thiên hiền Nārada, thấy họ đã sắp đặt thời khắc và thong thả để lắng nghe, liền tán đồng câu chuyện mà hiền triết Mārkaṇḍeya đang thuật lại.
