स मामपृच्छत् कौन्तेय क्वासि गन्ता ब्रवीहि मे । तस्मा अवितथं सर्वमन्रुवं कुरुनन्दन,उन्होंने मुझसे कहा--“कुन्तीनन्दन! कहाँ जाते हो? मुझे ठीक-ठीक बताओ।” तब मैंने उनसे सब कुछ सच-सच बता दिया
sa mām apṛcchat kaunteya kvāsi gantā bravīhi me | tasmā avitathaṁ sarvam anruvaṁ kurunandana ||
Ông ấy hỏi ta: “Hỡi con của Kuntī, ngươi đi đâu? Hãy nói cho ta thật rõ ràng.” Khi ấy, hỡi niềm vui của dòng Kuru, ta đã đáp lại ông bằng lời chân thật, không hề bóp méo, và bày tỏ mọi sự đúng như nó vốn là.
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights satya (truthfulness) in speech: when questioned directly, one should answer accurately and without deceit, preserving integrity even in uncertain or risky circumstances.
A person confronts Arjuna and asks where he is going, demanding a clear answer. Arjuna responds by telling the full truth, presenting himself as committed to honest disclosure.
