Educational Q&A

The verse underscores dharma through hospitality and reverence: a spiritually authoritative royal sage treats the virtuous as his own children, and the honoured guests respond by staying peacefully—modeling mutual respect, protection, and affectionate regard for the righteous.

A royal sage warmly receives the Pāṇḍavas, praising and welcoming them with paternal affection. After being duly honoured, the Pāṇḍavas remain at that place for seven nights.
