Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)

Educational Q&A

The passage highlights dharmic patience and confidence in righteous effort: Arjuna’s success comes through disciplined acquisition of higher knowledge (astravidyā), while Yudhiṣṭhira responds by honoring and gathering brāhmaṇas, showing reliance on counsel, ritual propriety, and moral steadiness rather than anxiety.

Vaiśampāyana reports that Yudhiṣṭhira expresses certainty that Arjuna will return from Devaloka to the human world after gaining mastery of divine weapons, and then Yudhiṣṭhira summons all the brāhmaṇas in anticipation of meeting him soon.
