Rājarṣi-samāgamaḥ — Yudhiṣṭhirasya Dharma-parīkṣā ca
Meeting the Royal Sage and a Dharmic Audit
पप्रच्छ भ्रातरं भीम॑ भीमकर्माणमाहवे । कच्चित् क्व भीम: पाज्चालि किंचित् कृत्यं चिकीर्षति,जब भीम नहीं दिखायी दिये, तब शत्रुदमन धर्मनन्दन युधिष्ठिरने द्रौपदी तथा पास ही बैठे हुए नकुल-सहदेवसे अपने भाई भीमके सम्बन्धमें, जो रणभूमिमें भयानक कर्म करनेवाले थे, पूछा--'पांचाल-राजकुमारी! भीमसेन कहाँ है? क्या वे कोई काम करना चाहते हैं?
Vaiśampāyana uvāca | papraccha bhrātaraṃ Bhīmaṃ bhīma-karmāṇam āhave | kaccit kva Bhīmaḥ pāñcāli kiṃcit kṛtyaṃ cikīrṣati |
Vaiśampāyana nói: Yudhiṣṭhira, con của Dharma và bậc khuất phục kẻ thù, không thấy Bhīma ở gần, bèn hỏi về người anh—Bhīma, kẻ gây nên những việc kinh hãi nơi chiến địa: “Hỡi Pāñcālī, Bhīma ở đâu? Chàng có định đảm nhận việc gì chăng?” Câu hỏi ấy phản ánh sự cảnh giác của người lãnh đạo và mối bận tâm về hành động đúng đạo, nhất là khi sự vắng mặt của một đồng minh hùng mạnh có thể báo hiệu một bước đi quyết định hoặc hiểm nguy.
