Educational Q&A

Anger (krodha) clouds discernment (saṃjñā) and leads to collapse: those driven by wrath become confused, lose steadiness, and are easily routed. The verse contrasts uncontrolled rage with the decisive strength of a disciplined hero.

After being struck and overwhelmed by Bhīmasena, the rākṣasas—confused and broken—abandon the ground, take to the sky, and flee toward the summits of Mount Kailāsa.
