svāgataṁ sarvathaiveha tavādya manujarṣabha | imāny amṛtakalpāni mūlāni ca phalāni ca, mānavaśiromaṇe! ājya iha sarvaprakāreṇa tumhārā svāgata hai | ye amṛtake samāna mīṭhe phala-mūla khākara yahīṁse lauṭa jāo, anyathā vyartha hī tumhāre prāṇa saṅkaṭameṁ paṛa jāyāṁge | narapuṅgava! yadi merā kathana hitakara jān paṛe to ise avaśya māno

Educational Q&A

Offer hospitality and give timely, welfare-oriented counsel: accept what sustains life (simple forest food) and avoid needless risk; heeding beneficial advice is presented as a mark of wisdom and dharma.

The narrator reports a speaker welcoming a heroic visitor, offering nectar-like roots and fruits, and urging him to turn back after eating, warning that proceeding further would place his life in unnecessary danger.
