Arrogance, Boons, and Nimitta
इन्द्र उवाच अमार्ग एष विदप्रर्षे येन त्वं यातुमिच्छसि । कि विघातेन ते विप्र गच्छाधीहि गुरोर्मुखात्,इन्द्र बोले--विप्ररषे! तुम जिस राहसे जाना चाहते हो, वह अध्ययनका मार्ग नहीं है। स्वाध्यायके समुचित मार्गको नष्ट करनेसे तुम्हें क्या लाभ होगा? अतः: जाओ गुरुके मुखसे ही अध्ययन करो
indra uvāca: amārga eṣa vidaprarṣe yena tvaṃ yātum icchasi | kiṃ vighātena te vipra gacchādhīhi guror mukhāt ||
Indra nói: “Hỡi bậc hiền triết uyên bác, con đường ngươi muốn đi không phải là chính đạo của việc học. Này Bà-la-môn, phá vỡ trật tự đúng đắn của thánh học thì ngươi được lợi gì? Hãy đi—hãy học trực tiếp từ miệng thầy của ngươi.”
