मैत्रेयागमनम् — The Arrival of Maitreya and the Admonition to Duryodhana

बाहू महान्तौ कृत्वा तु तथा55स्यं च भयानकम्‌ | स्थितमावृत्य पन्थानं येन यान्ति कुरूद्वहा:,अपनी दोनों भुजाओंको बहुत बड़ी करके मुँहको भयानकरूपसे फैलाकर वह उसी मार्गको घेरकर खड़ा हो गया, जिससे वे कुरुवंशशिरोमणि पाण्डव यात्रा कर रहे थे

bāhū mahāntau kṛtvā tu tathāsyaṃ ca bhayānakam | sthitam āvṛtya panthānaṃ yena yānti kurūdvahāḥ ||

Hắn phồng to đôi cánh tay như khối núi, há rộng miệng thành một khe hốc kinh hoàng, rồi đứng đó chặn ngang con đường—chính con đường mà các Pāṇḍava, bậc ưu tú của dòng Kuru, đang đi. Cảnh tượng ấy cho thấy sức mạnh hăm dọa có thể ngăn bước người chính trực, để thử thách ý chí và sự phân định của họ giữa cuộc thử luyện nơi rừng thẳm.
