Even in hardship, a righteous leader maintains truthful, respectful speech and foregrounds dharma and solidarity over status. Yudhiṣṭhira’s identity is framed ethically (Dharmarāja) and relationally (with his brothers), modeling humility and integrity in approaching others.
Yudhiṣṭhira formally introduces himself to the person he is addressing, stating that he is the Pāṇḍava Dharmarāja and that he has arrived together with all his brothers, notably Bhīma and Arjuna—setting the context for their presence in the forest and the ensuing interaction.
