Surabhi–Indra Dialogue as a Governance Exemplar

त॑ं जटाजिनसंवीतं तपोवननिवासिनम्‌ । समाजममुर्महात्मान द्रष्ट मुनिगणा: प्रभो,प्रभो! जटा और मृगचर्म धारण करके तपोवनमें निवास करनेवाले उन महात्मा धर्मराजको देखनेके लिये वहाँ बहुत-से मुनि पधारे थे

taṁ jaṭājinasaṁvītaṁ tapovanani-vāsinaṁ | samājamur mahātmānaṁ draṣṭuṁ munigaṇāḥ prabho prabho ||

Vaiśampāyana nói: Vị đại hồn ấy (Dharmarāja), tóc bện thành búi và khoác da nai, cư trú trong khu rừng khổ hạnh, đã trở thành tâm điểm của một cuộc hội tụ—nhiều đoàn hiền triết kéo đến, khát khao được chiêm bái ngài. Cảnh ấy cho thấy: một bậc quân vương giữ gìn tiết chế và dharma, dẫu trong lưu đày, vẫn khiến những người thành tựu đạo hạnh kính ngưỡng.
