Udyoga Parva Adhyāya 92: Kṛṣṇasya sabhāpraveśaḥ

धर्मकार्य यतज्छक्त्या नो चेत् प्राप्रोति मानव: । प्राप्तो भवति तत् पुण्यमत्र मे नास्ति संशय:
Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: dharmakārye yataś chaktyā no cet prāpnoti mānavaḥ | prāpto bhavati tat puṇyam atra me nāsti saṃśayaḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Nếu một người dốc hết sức mình trong một việc làm thuộc về dharma mà vẫn không đạt được thành công, thì công đức của nỗ lực ấy vẫn chắc chắn quy về người đó. Về điều này, ta không hề nghi ngờ.
