Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 62 — Duryodhana’s Claim of Victory and Vidura’s Allegories on Discord and Risk
अन्येषु च नरेन््द्रेषु पराक्रम्य समारभे । दादाजी! ऐसी दशामें भी आप कैसे जानते हैं कि विजय कुन्तीपुत्रोंकी ही होगी। मैं, आप, द्रोणाचार्य, कृपाचार्य, बाह्निक तथा अन्य राजाओंके पराक्रमका भरोसा करके युद्धका आरम्भ नहीं कर रहा हूँ
anyeṣu ca narendreṣu parākramya samārabhe |
Duryodhana nói: “Ta cũng không khởi chiến chỉ vì cậy vào dũng lực của các vua khác. Dẫu vậy, thưa bậc đáng kính, sao ngài có thể chắc rằng chiến thắng sẽ chỉ thuộc về các con của Kuntī? Ta không phát động cuộc xung đột này chỉ dựa vào sức riêng ta, cũng không chỉ dựa vào Droṇa, Kṛpa, Bāhlīka hay vô số chư vương khác.”
