वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights attentive reception of righteous counsel and the duty to respond with firm, ethically grounded resolve—an ideal of kṣatriya conduct where deliberation leads to decisive, principled speech and action.
After hearing Kṛṣṇa (Keśava), Arjuna—identified by his diadem and white-steeded chariot—utters a powerful reply. The line functions as a transition into Arjuna’s significant response, emphasizing the emotional and moral intensity of the exchange.
