समाकुला मही राजन्‌ कुरुपाण्डवकारणात्‌ | तदा समभवत्‌ कृत्स्ना सम्प्रयाणे महीक्षिताम्‌

Transliteration

samākulā mahī rājan kurupāṇḍavakāraṇāt | tadā samabhavat kṛtsnā samprayāṇe mahīkṣitām ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana thưa: “Tâu Đại vương, vì cuộc xung đột giữa nhà Kuru và các Pāṇḍava mà khắp mặt đất rối loạn. Khi ấy, lúc các vua chúa khởi hành kéo quân, cả thế gian dường như bị cuốn vào một chuyển động duy nhất, bồn chồn không yên.”
