Transliteration

madaḥ aṣṭādaśa-doṣaḥ sa syāt purā yo ’prakīrtitaḥ | lokadveṣyaṁ prātikūlyam abhyasūyā mṛṣā vacaḥ ||

Translation

Sanatsujāta giải thích rằng sự say men kiêu mạn (mada) kết tụ thành nhiều lỗi lầm. Trong đó có: làm điều khiến đời chê trách, hành xử trái với śāstra, bắt lỗi và ganh ghét người có đức, và nói lời dối trá.
