समा गुरौ यथा वृत्तिर्गुरुपत्न्यां तथा55चरेत् । तत्युत्रे च तथा कुर्वन् द्वितीय: पाद उच्यते
Transliteration
samā gurau yathā vṛttir guru-patnyāṃ tathā caret | tat-putre ca tathā kurvan dvitīyaḥ pāda ucyate ||
Translation
Phải đối xử với vợ của thầy đúng như cách mình đối xử với chính thầy. Cũng hành xử như vậy đối với con trai của thầy—điều ấy được tuyên xưng là ‘bước thứ hai’ (pāda) của hạnh kiểm chân chính. Lời dạy nhấn mạnh sự kính trọng có kỷ luật và sự tự chế đạo đức trong gia thất của guru như nền tảng của dharma.
