उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
राजा लक्षणसम्पन्नस्त्रैलोक्यस्यापि यो भवेत् | शिष्यस्ते शासिता सोडस्तु धृतराष्ट्र युधिष्ठिर:
rājā lakṣaṇasampannastrailokyasyāpi yo bhavet | śiṣyaste śāsitā soḍastu dhṛtarāṣṭra yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
Vidura nói: “Hỡi Dhṛtarāṣṭra, dẫu một vị vua có đủ mọi tướng vương giả và xứng đáng cai trị cả ba cõi, vẫn phải biết tiếp nhận kỷ luật và sự răn dạy. Yudhiṣṭhira là môn sinh của ngài—một người có thể được dẫn dắt và trị vì bằng phép tắc; vì vậy hãy tự kiềm chế, và cai trị theo lời khuyên minh triết, chớ theo sự quyến luyến mù quáng.”
