अध्याय २९ — वासुदेव–संजय संवादः
Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
निकर्तने देवने योउद्धितीय- श्छन्नोपथ: साधुदेवी मताक्ष: । यो दुर्जयो देवरथेन संख्ये स चित्रसेन: कुशलं तात वाच्य:
nikartane devane yo ’dvitīyaś channopathaḥ sādhudevīmatākṣaḥ | yo durjayo devarathena saṅkhye sa citrasenaḥ kuśalaṃ tāta vācyaḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira nói: “Này người thân mến, hãy chuyển lời thăm hỏi cung kính của ta đến Citrasena—bậc vô song trong nghệ thuật xúc xắc và cờ bạc, người che giấu mưu lược và chơi với sự tính toán tinh vi, tinh thông việc gieo xúc xắc; và trong chiến trận cũng khó bề khuất phục, dẫu đối phương có ngồi trên chiến xa thần thánh. Hãy hỏi thăm an khang của ông ấy và báo lại cho ta.”
