अशोभनन््त महेष्वासा ग्रहा: प्रज्वयलिता इव । वे महाधनुर्धर शूरवीर विचित्र कवच और तपाये हुए सोनेके कुण्डल धारण किये वेदीपर घीकी आहुतिसे प्रज्वलित हुए अग्निदेवके समान तथा आकाशमें प्रकाशित होनेवाले ग्रहोंकी भाँति शोभा पा रहे थे
aśobhanan maheṣvāsā grahāḥ prajvalitā iva | te mahā-dhanur-dharāḥ śūra-vīrā vicitra-kavacāḥ tapta-hema-kuṇḍala-dhāriṇaḥ vedī-pari ghṛtāhuti-prajvalitāgnivat ākāśe prakāśamānānāṃ grahāṇām iva śobhāṃ prāpuḥ |
Vaiśampāyana nói: Những đại cung thủ ấy—những người cầm đại cung, các dũng sĩ chiến trận—mặc giáp trụ rực rỡ và đeo khuyên tai vàng đã tôi lửa, sáng chói như ngọn hỏa tế được nhóm lên bởi những lần rưới bơ tinh khiết trên đàn tế, và như các tinh tú rạng ngời bừng cháy giữa trời cao.
