Adhyāya 195 — Arjuna’s Capability and Restraint Regarding Divyāstras
Udyoga Parva
The verse highlights that effective resistance to wrongdoing in a dharmic struggle depends on firm support—strength, resources, and resolve—rightly relied upon. Power is presented not as mere aggression but as a necessary foundation for confronting an unjust opponent.
Vaiśampāyana describes Bhīma’s formidable strength/force and states that, supported by it, Bhīma engages in opposition and battle against Duryodhana, Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son, emphasizing the Pandava side’s capacity to meet the Kauravas in conflict.
