गजा विंशतिसाहस्रा ईषादन्ता: प्रहारिण: । कुलीना भिन्नकरटा मेघा इव विसर्पिण:

gajā viṁśatisāhasrā īṣādantāḥ prahāriṇaḥ | kulīnā bhinnakaraṭā meghā iva visarpīṇaḥ ||

Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: “Hai vạn voi—mang cặp ngà rắn chắc như xà ngang và được luyện để xung kích—thuộc giống nòi cao quý, thái dương rách toạc chảy dịch, tản ra tiến bước như mây.” Cảnh ấy gợi đà phình lên của chiến tranh: sức mạnh kỷ luật được dồn tụ thành số lượng khổng lồ, lộng lẫy mà cũng ominous, bởi khả năng gây hại của nó.
