Bhīṣma’s Account of the Strategic Engagement with Rāma Jāmadagnya
यदि शक््यो मया जेतुं जामदग्न्य: प्रतापवान् | दैवतानि प्रसन्नानि दर्शयन्तु निशां मम,यदि प्रतापी जमदग्निकुमारको जीतना मेरे लिये सम्भव हो तो प्रसन्न हुए देवगण रात्रिमें मुझे दर्शन दें
yadi śakyo mayā jetuṃ jāmadagnyaḥ pratāpavān | daivatāni prasannāni darśayantu niśāṃ mama ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Nếu quả thật ta có thể đánh bại Jāmadagnya đầy oai lực, thì xin các chư thiên, khi đã hoan hỷ, hãy cho ta một thị kiến trong đêm để làm dấu xác chứng.”
