युगान्ताग्निसम: क्रोधात् सिंहग्रीवो महाद्युतिः । एष भारतयुद्धस्य पृष्ठ संशमयिष्यति,क्रोधमें यह प्रलयकालकी अग्निके समान जान पड़ता है। इसकी ग्रीवा सिंहके समान है। यह महातेजस्वी अश्वत्थामा महाभारत-युद्धके शेषभागका शमन करेगा
yugāntāgnisamaḥ krodhāt siṁhagrīvo mahādyutiḥ | eṣa bhāratayuddhasya pṛṣṭhaṁ saṁśamayīṣyati ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Khi nổi giận, hắn như ngọn lửa vào thời mạt kiếp. Cổ như sư tử, rực rỡ hào quang; chính Ashvatthama này sẽ khép lại phần còn lại của cuộc chiến Bharata.”
