अविज्ञानात् ततः सो5थ डिण्डिकं हुपभुक्तवान् | ततस्ते सहिता: सर्वे मन्त्रयामासुरञ्जसा,“बिलावको चूहोंकी जागरूकताका कुछ पता नहीं था। अतः वह डिंडिकको भी खा गया। तदनन्तर एक दिन सब चूहे एक साथ मिलकर आपसमें सलाह करने लगे
avijñānāt tataḥ so 'tha ḍiṇḍikaṃ hy upabhuktavān | tatas te sahitāḥ sarve mantrayāmāsur añjasā ||
Sañjaya nói: Vì thiếu cảnh giác, con mèo ấy lại nuốt chửng cả Diṇḍika. Sau đó, tất cả bầy chuột tụ họp lại và, với chủ ý rõ ràng, bắt đầu bàn bạc với nhau.
