Bhīṣma’s Appointment as Commander-in-Chief
विदुरस्यापि तद् वाक्यं श्रुतं भीष्मस्यथ चो भयो: । कुन्त्याश्न विपुलप्रज्ञ प्रज्ञा कार्त्स्न्येन ते श्रुता,“विदुरने और भीष्मजीने भी जो बातें कही हैं, उन्हें भी आपने सुना है। विशालबुद्धे ! माता कुन्तीका विचार भी आपने पूर्णरूपसे सुन लिया है
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
vidurasya api tad vākyaṃ śrutaṃ bhīṣmasya atha ca ubhayoḥ |
kuntīyāś ca vipulaprajña prajñā kārtsnyena te śrutā ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Ngài cũng đã nghe lời của Vidura và của Bhīṣma—quả thật là của cả hai vị ấy. Hỡi bậc trí tuệ rộng lớn, ngài cũng đã nghe trọn vẹn lời khuyên cân nhắc của Kuntī.
