Transliteration

yas tatāpa tapo ghoraṁ sadāraḥ pṛthivīpatiḥ | roṣād droṇavināśāya vīraḥ samitiśobhanaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: Vị vua anh hùng, có hoàng hậu kề bên, đã thực hành khổ hạnh dữ dội. Bừng bừng phẫn nộ và quyết tâm tiêu diệt Droṇa, chiến binh ấy—rực rỡ giữa cuộc đụng độ của các đạo quân—đã làm phép tu khắc nghiệt, cho thấy cơn giận có thể đẩy cả quyền lực vương giả đến một quyết chí cực đoan, nặng tính đạo lý.
